This Book Club was created for those who are interested in learning about the beginnings of Arda and all of the Great Tales that led up to The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but don’t have the time to devote to exploring every single detail of this story quite yet. I’m of the belief that once you make it through The Silmarillion once, you’ll find yourself wanting to re-read it over and over again - so this is meant to be a gateway into Tolkien’s greatest work.

I’ve also chosen to operate at a relatively quick pace because I know many members of our community are hoping to become familiar with the First and Second Age before Amazon’s “The Rings of Power” series premiers in September.

And of course, anyone who has read The Silmarillion before and simply wants to refresh their memory is also welcome! I’ve found our Book Clubs are so much more fun when we have participants with varying levels of familiarity with Tolkien’s works joining the discussion.
